About The LEO Literary Journal
The LEO Literary Journal was created by Elizabeth Gade because as a low income emerging poet, who is also a felon, former addict, former sex worker, human trafficking survivor, she wanted to see more work of her peers published, showcased and uplifted. She wants this to be a place of lived experience outreach through literary expression. Your story is important. You matter. The LEO Literary Journal is a platform to build literary content, connections and community based on showcasing work by women writers affected by incarceration.
